Principal IT Consultant

The Principal IT Consultant cultivates client relationships by developing long-term IT strategies to meet their business objectives and advance their technology goals.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop a long-term relationship with the client to ensure their success and help them realize the full value of iVenture services
  • Demonstrate and reinforce the value of iVenture to ensure client retention by proposing and aligning the correct technology plans
  • Provide and develop expertise in a variety of client industry concepts, practices, and procedures

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leads all aspects of client technology investments, working with others to assist in solutions development and proposal generation, as needed
  • Understands short and long-term client goals and objectives as they relate to their IT needs
  • Guides clients’ technology needs to meet their business objectives
  • Builds relationships with clients by being a trusted technology advisor, ensuring client retention
  • Promotes iVenture’s complete offering of solutions and services
  • Manages assigned clients' IT roadmap, including development, presentation and regular updates to the plan
  • Manages iVenture agreement renewals and the overall recurring revenue health of the team
  • Reports service related items to the team lead and works together to resolve relationship issues
  • Works with the Technology Consultant to direct technical research and due diligence on hardware and software solutions
  • Communicates regularly with the team and clients to ensure client satisfaction and identify new business opportunities
  • Develops a solid understanding of all iVenture services to align to client technology needs
  • Attends weekly internal meetings to review client initiatives and team goals

You’re a great candidate if you have….

  • Bachelor’s Degree in management, finance or computer sciences or equivalent field
  • 6+ years of IT management experience, preferably with SMB (small-medium business) customers
  • Ability to maintain strong personal relationships
  • Broad knowledge of the following:
  • Understand business IT infrastructure for networks with 10-1000 users
  • Business oriented public and private cloud
  • Familiar with best-practice network security concepts
  • Network topologies and data services
  • Strong written and verbal skills

Additional Information:

  • Valid driver’s license and insurance with reliable transportation. This position will require frequent local travel.
