Business Development Executive

We are expanding our sales team and are looking for all levels of sales professionals with experience ranging from 3-7+ years.  Our Business Development Executives are responsible for selling our solution sets to the “Small and Medium Business Market” (typically 10-250 users).  This position will focus on our managed IT services and cloud offerings.  Primary responsibilities include:

  • Generating new business relationships and closing sales for managed IT and cloud services
  • Meeting with key business decision makers and identify and understanding their IT needs
  • Present proposals to C-level executives, business owners and business managers

Responsibilities

  • Identify new business development opportunities through a variety of activities that include cold calling, networking, and inbound lead follow-up
  • Attend industry functions, such as associations and trade shows
  • Develop a “trusted advisor” relationship with key executives and decision makers
  • Effectively develop and handle client quotes, proposals and negotiations
  • Develop sales strategies and presentations with minimal guidance
  • Manage sales cycle schedule and events to lead client to timely action and deal closure
  • Collaborate with management to establish lead-generation plans for new and existing segments
  • Consistently meet sales activities, pipeline and closing goals
  • Provide timely and accurate sales and business activity reports 
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of our IT solution sets and industry trends

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Technology, Business Administration or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in direct business-to-business sales and marketing
  • 3+ years of experience selling technology solutions and services; experience in the IT Services industry and/or Managed Services is preferred
  • Proven track record of business sales with a high earning history ($100,000+/annual)
  • Ability to work closely with management and C-level executives, business owners and managers
  • Highly self-motivated with excellent prospecting, relationship building and closing skills
  • Must have outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Market knowledge of the area is a plus

Additional Information

  • Valid driver’s license and insurance with reliable transportation.  This position will require travel to local client sites and may require up to 5% remote or overnight travel
